We’re looking for a Site Excellence Lead to champion our Excellence Strategy and embed a culture of continuous improvement across our Salisbury site. Nicholas & Harris is part of the Finsbury Food Group and has over 180 years of heritage in craft baking.

Finsbury Food Group is a leading speciality bakery manufacturer. We constantly raise quality and efficiency standards and build long-term relationships within the foodservice channel. Finsbury offer a wide range of bakery products and are a leading frozen supplier into the Foodservice sector.

About the Role

As Site Excellence Lead, you will facilitate the development and implementation of our Finsbury Excellence Strategy, using lean principles and external benchmarking to deliver sustainable improvements. Reporting to the Site Lead, you’ll work closely with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to drive cultural change, improve decision-making, and achieve measurable ROI on all improvement activities.

You’ll lead cross-functional projects focused on Safety, Quality, Service, Cost, People, and Sustainability, ensuring improvements are embedded and sustained. Acting as a coach and mentor, you’ll build in-house CI capability, design and deliver training workshops, and influence leaders at all levels to adopt best practices.

This is what you’ll actually do!

• Deploy standard tiered meeting structures and champion group standards across all site functions.
• Lead and facilitate Lean and CI projects to improve efficiency across labour, materials, and overheads.
• Design and deliver training and workshops to upskill teams and embed continuous improvement.
• Drive cultural change by challenging waste and promoting value-adding interventions.
• Use data and BI systems to identify opportunities, validate results, and report progress to senior forums.
• Share best practices across the group and support TRACC (CCi maturity tool) maturity improvements.
• Act as a change agent, fostering an action-oriented mindset and strong cross-functional collaboration.

Ideally this is you!

Essential:

• Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a leadership role within manufacturing.
• Proven track record in change management and delivering sustainable improvement.
• Strong influencing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to interpret data and drive data-led decision-making.
• Highly organised, proactive, and adaptable to changing business needs.

Desirable:

• CI/Lean qualifications (e.g., Green/Black Belt).
• Experience with TRACC or similar CI platforms.
• Background in food manufacturing or FMCG.
• Familiarity with bakery processes and Six Sigma/SPC techniques.
