Memory Lane is a leading supplier of pre-packed premium whole cake, sharing cakes, loaf cakes, caterpillar cakes & seasonal yule logs to major retailers, specialising in supermarkets’ own-label cake ranges and producing licensed products for iconic brands such as Mars, Thorntons, and Baileys.
Memory Lane has been a sweet success story since 1958, becoming Finsbury Foods’ first acquisition in 2002. The expansive eight-acre site in Cardiff houses five bakeries with seven main production lines, each creating millions of cakes, traybakes, and seasonal treats every year. As one of Cardiff’s largest private employers, we’re proud to provide jobs for approximately 600 permanent members of staff.
We’ve mastered the art of creating a homemade taste in every bite, even as we produce millions of cakes annually – this is large-scale production with artisanal quality. From classic Victoria sponges to retailer own label caterpillar cakes and licensed brand themed character cakes, our diverse range caters to every celebration and craving.
