We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Operative to join our Warehouse Team at Lightbody Celebration Cakes, part of the Finsbury Food Group.
With over 135 years of craft baking heritage, Lightbody is proud to be the UK’s largest supplier of celebration cakes. From branded favourites like Disney, Mars, Universal and Thorntons to supermarket own-label products, we produce over 55 million cakes and sweet treats every year right here in Hamilton.

As a Warehouse Operative, you will support the Assistant Shift Manager in the day-to-day operation of the warehouse, carrying out a full range of departmental duties while ensuring health and safety standards are maintained at all times.
This is what you’ll actually do!
In this role, you will ensure full GMP compliance while carrying out a range of warehouse duties, including loading and unloading vehicles, handling, scanning, and booking in stock and materials. You will be responsible for putting stock away using a hand-held scanner, processing goods in line with pick lists (DOs), and updating goods locations using M3. The role requires completing accurate paperwork to match goods picked and delivered, achieving 100% accuracy in order picking, and maintaining accurate stock levels, traceability, and proper stock rotation at all times. You will also be required to produce daily cycle count sheets using Infor M3 and Excel, while prioritising and promoting health and safety compliance throughout all warehouse activities.
Ideally this is you!
• Valid Forklift Truck and PPT licence
• Confident working with numbers and systems such as Excel
• Good timekeeping and punctuality
• Reliable, flexible, and a strong team player
• High attention to detail – accuracy with stock and paperwork is key
• Health & Safety conscious, with a commitment to safe working practices
• Willingness to adapt to different tasks and support across the team
