Are you a sweet or savoury hot cross lover? Our bacon and cheese hot cross is set to be your new Easter breakfast must have, serve with a selection of sauces for an alfresco breakfast.

  • 4 Cheese Hot Cross
  • 220g streaky bacon
  • 4 slices Emmental Cheese
  • 20g Parmesan Cheese, grated
  • 40g Maple Syrup
  1. Take your streaky bacon and begin to grill in the oven until just before crispy. Once nearly done, drizzle over maple syrup for a sweet flavour
  2. Slice and grill your hot cross. Cut your Emmental in half and place on each slice of hot cross until melted and bubbling.
  3. Remove and load the base hot cross with the bacon before placing on the lid.
  4. Sprinkle over the parmesan on top and place back into the grill for 3 minutes
  5. Serve immediately.
