Are you a sweet or savoury hot cross lover? Our bacon and cheese hot cross is set to be your new Easter breakfast must have, serve with a selection of sauces for an alfresco breakfast.
- 4 Cheese Hot Cross
- 220g streaky bacon
- 4 slices Emmental Cheese
- 20g Parmesan Cheese, grated
- 40g Maple Syrup
- Take your streaky bacon and begin to grill in the oven until just before crispy. Once nearly done, drizzle over maple syrup for a sweet flavour
- Slice and grill your hot cross. Cut your Emmental in half and place on each slice of hot cross until melted and bubbling.
- Remove and load the base hot cross with the bacon before placing on the lid.
- Sprinkle over the parmesan on top and place back into the grill for 3 minutes
- Serve immediately.
