Why did you choose to join our Finsbury Finance Program?
‘’The opportunity to learn while I work, gaining a qualification through CIMA whilst also getting hands on experience working in finance. I also liked the fact that it is 3 separate roles across multiple sites over the 3 years, so you get the opportunity to work in different teams and with different people while getting experience across multiple areas of the finance function.”
What was your interview like?
‘’The assessment centre featured a formal interview, presentation and group task. It was quite a relaxed setting, and outside of the assessed parts of the day there was the opportunity to speak and ask questions to a number of members of the finance leadership team. ‘’
How have you found the training and support since joining?
‘’Both teams I have worked within so far have been extremely helpful in terms of teaching me the role and helping with learning the systems and processes we use, as well as any general questions I may have. There is also a grest support network within the grad scheme, so any questions there are always plenty of people who can help.’’
What advice would you give to anyone considering a career in Finance at Finsbury Foods?
‘’Ask lots of questions and speak to as many different people as possible. It’s a lot to learn at first but once you start to understand who is responsible for what and build those connections it becomes a lot easier to get any problems resolved.’’
