I was a Guardsman in the 1^st Battalion Scots Guards. I served on various postings, both within the UK and overseas. After leaving the Army, I initially went to college to study Sports Science. After a few roles in the fitness sector, I found my way in to FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods), and eventually I moved to my current role in Finsbury as a First Line Manager.

Some of the key skills we use within Finsbury directly cross over with military life, such as the need for great communication skills, attention to detail and of course a great sense of humour. As a shift-based role, we work closely with our colleagues so having a background in teamwork will help you hit the ground running.

I have enjoyed my time with Finsbury so far. It is a fast moving, dynamic environment with plenty of scope for progression, and as a company, the values and standards align closely to military culture.
